MY TAKE ON THE GOLDEN GLOBES AND THE WINNERS

The Golden Globes were handed out tonight at the Beverly Hilton.  The awards were ind of spread out but there were some surprises…
First, I’d like to shout out to my favorite actor Hugh Jackman!  He won for Les Miserables.
It also took an award for Best Picture, Musical and Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway.

Right off the bat, scene-stealer Christoph Waltz won for Supporting Actor, Django Unchained.  IMHO, he was my favorite character in the movie.  The HFPA love Quentin and awarded him for Best Screenplay.  It was a tough call since this category mixes original with adapted.

Adele won for her theme song to Skyfall.  And gave one of the best off-the-cuff speeches.

Homeland took home awards for Actor, Actress and TV Series.

HBO’s Game Change was a winner for Actress, Actor and TV movie.

GIRLS won for Actress and Series.  Lena Dunham not only bears her skin, but also her soul.  (BTW- Season Two began today.)

Argo received some love by winning Director for Ben Affleck and Best Picture.  Deservedly so.
